Dean Hofstee 19/03/1989 – 1/10/2008 “Dean lived every day to the fullest and his cheerful spirit touched many people’s lives” It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of our club member, Dean Hofstee, Vice Captain of Charlie patrol. Dean was in Melbourne competing in the University Games when he and a mate were struck by a car that lost control and mounted the kerb. Dean was killed instantly and his mate is in a serious condition in hospital. Dean will be very sadly missed and we extend our sincere sympathy to Peter, Francesca, Quinton, Cara, Pierre and extended family and friends. Dean's funeral service is to be held on Friday 10th October 2008 at Trinity Anglican Mission Church, Robina Town Centre Drive, Robina commencing at 10.30am. Following Dean's service, his family invites you to return to The Surf Club Burleigh Heads where a paddle out and laying of a wreath will take place. Please bring a board if you wish to take part in the paddle. This will be followed by a gathering at the Surf Club to reflect on Dean's life. |
