Welcome to Burleigh Heads Mowbray Park Surf Life Saving Club

Burleigh Heads Mowbray Park Surf Life Saving Club was formally founded in 1923. Since then we have developed and grown as an integral Surf Life Saving Club on the Gold Coast, which now has in excess of 1200 members.

In this past 2013/2014 season it is estimated that nearly 162,000 people visited Burleigh Beach. Our volunteer patrolling members put in 6,382 hours of their own time to watch, protect and save these visitors which resulted in another fatality free season between the flags at Burleigh.

This past season saw our patrolling members successfully completed over 39 rescues, 3,035 preventative actions and treated members of the public in 288 first aid cases, 19 of these being major first aid.

2014 -2015 Nipper season is now on at BHMP

The Nipper season commences on Sunday 21st of September

We are looking forward to another fun filled season building on the success from last season.

Our Sponsors

We would like to recognise the generous support of our sponsors and Club supporters. We could not provide the high level of life saving activities on Burleigh Beach without them and we thank them for their continued support. We ask that Club members in return support them wherever possible to show your appreciation.

September 2014 Old Boys Newsletter

iconA little reminder that your annual “Old Boys” Membership fees ($15.00) are now due.

A big thanks to those who have already paid and especially those who added a generous donation for the BHMP Summer Surf Girl, Kristy Mitchell.

The Dulux Project with BHMP

Our Club has been fortunate to be one of the recipients of the Dulux Surf Club Project. This project sees Dulux provide 100 litres of exterior paint to our Club to enable us to renovate our Club to ensure that our existing Club and the renovations to occur in the next 12 months tie in with the rest of the building and our exterior surfaces are protected from the harsh Australian conditions.

We thank Dulux for their involvement and look forward to the renovation of our Club and trust our members support those that support us. Buy Dulux – You won’t be disappointed.
